Mason Jar Light fixture Inspiration

Hi there, My name is Michael and I live and work and play in Nashville, TN a wonderful place to be from if you like to create as I do.  I started West Vintage Trading Company two months ago with a desire to offer interesting vintage pieces and to design and bring to life unique home and office decor.  From lighting to furniture I enjoy being creative and a little website that is catching on fast has helped me bring my creations to people around the world.

I want to make this blog all about my new lamp that was inspired from the hanging mason jar light fixtures that I have seen on Etsy.
This lamp was carefully crafted and built to be a very sturdy focal piece and conversation starter.  I can custom make these with different shades and bases.  I am working on a copper lamp shade now that will highlight the light and bring a very nice warmth to the lamp.

I enjoy taking regular pieces that you would pass by and making them into an object that can't be ignored.  Please let me know how you feel about the pieces below and you can comment here or in my shop on Etsy.

The jars were cut with a diamond wet saw. After breaking 5 or 6 I developed the technique that enabled me to put my idea together.  The base of the lamp is a cast iron industrial cart wheel.  I used a piece of copper tubing to hold everything together with a zinc lid on the mason jar that the light socket fits right into.  I found the art deco glass shade in an antique store in Philadelphia it is circa 1930.

Some of my recent lighting designs.
They can all be found by clicking here.

Thank you so much for looking and I hope you will let me know what you are thinking and inspire me with your ideas.
